East Gable Window

My octagonal window for the east gable end came in today.  So I framed for the window and cut out the opening.  I had time to install it but didn't.  I'll need my long extension ladder to do that and half of it is currently hooked over the ridge of my roof waiting for me to finish roofing.  So, I'll install it after the roofing arrives and I can complete the job.

Bathroom floor plywood

I'm  still waiting for my replacement roofing items so today I worked on the bathroom floor.  I'm planning to finish it with a vinyl flooring so it needed flooring smoother than the 3/4" OSB that is currently there.   I covered it with 5mm plywood and that allowed me to also screw down the toilet flange, use adhesive and screws to attach the shower stall base and to glue up the two drains to the waste plumbing system.

More Roofing

When I picked up my order of roofing panels a couple of them were damaged so I had to return them and re-order.  Today I installed the last of the panels that I have and now my roofing project is on hold until the replacements come in.

So, while I wait I decided to build and install the door to the crawl space.  Today I got it framed up and hopefully tomorrow I'll pick up the materials to build and hang the door.

Soffit & Roofing

During the past few days I put up and stained the soffit under the gable ends,

and the soffit & soffit vent under the eaves.

Today I started the roofing.  I'm using Onduline roofing panels.  They're shingle type material but come in 3'x6' panels making them faster and easier to install than shingles.  Installation is more like metal roofing but the panels are easier to handle when working alone.

Lots of progress

Since the last post I've gotten a lot done. Finished the spackling and painting and painted the inside of the front door. I picked up a...
